Advocacy Practice Club

Established 2013

Our Aims

The Advocacy Practice Club is an initiative aimed at empowering aspiring barristers to excel and succeed at the bar. The club provides a supportive environment where members can develop their advocacy skills through regular practice and constructive feedback.

Shaping the Next Generation

By focusing on practical sessions and a supportive community of aspiring barristers and practitioners, the Advocacy Practice Club is shaping the next generation of advocates and helping them achieve success at the bar. Members of the club engage in regular advocacy exercises which allows them to sharpen, hone and maintain their skills in readiness for their career at the bar. The club also fosters networking opportunities, connecting members with established practitioners and industry leaders who can guide their career paths.

Committed to inclusion and creating access

The club emphasizes the importance of inclusivity and diversity in the legal profession, encouraging participants from various backgrounds to join and share their perspectives. Through its initiatives, the Advocacy Practice Club is not only enhancing individual capabilities but also contributing to a more equitable and dynamic legal community. Ultimately, it aims to inspire a new wave of advocates who are well-equipped to tackle contemporary legal challenges and advocate effectively while pursuing pupillage opportunities.
